Funding & Support
Through UNC Health Lenoir volunteer funding, the Pastoral Care Program has been revitalized increasing the number of active chaplains from 4 to 25.
Since its inception in 1986, the annual Lights of Love campaign has raised nearly half a million dollars for oncology services.
The Gift of Time
In addition to monetary support, the volunteers give the precious gift of time, as volunteers serve in many areas throughout the hospital.
Annually, over 40,000 hours are donated to the patients and staff at UNC Health Lenoir.
All volunteers at UNC Health Lenoir can be recognized by their teal uniforms. The volunteer group has its own leadership team who work in conjunction with the Director of Volunteer Services to provide vision for the volunteer program.
