Wells Fargo shows support with grant for stroke awareness program

By scheduling follow-up visits with stroke patients shortly after they are discharged, EMTs are helping ensure that timely medical follow-up keeps patients on the road to recovery instead of needing to be readmitted to the hospital.

The Foundation, with the help of a $2,500 grant from Wells Fargo, supports UNC Lenoir Health Care's stroke awareness and prevention program.

Ben Franklin’s adage, “An ounce of prevention’s worth a pound of cure,” is how Lenoir Memorial Foundation Director, Dirk Griffith, describes the Lenoir County Community Paramedic Program.
