Open House Marks Fundraising for New Accelerator

Over a hundred attended the celebration at the UNC Lenoir Cancer Center to mark reaching $800,000 in support towards the new cancer-treatment device. Eleven groups or individuals were recognized and thanked for their gifts naming rooms as were many other for supporting the Linear Accelerator Campaign.

Cherry Energy’s fuel truck parked outside to promote the “Angel Fund,” a new campaign to provide support for needy cancer patients. Lavender magnetic ribbons were available for guests to put on the truck for a loved one.
