Vital Boards
UNC Health Lenoir and Lenoir County EMS Team Up to Offer Vitalboards to Residents
Lenoir County EMS and the Emergency Department count on being able to obtain baseline information when they respond to emergency calls. Better information can make the difference in how efficiently medical emergencies are handled and that is why having a Vitalboard in the patient's home can be lifesaving. By having an up-to-date Vitalboard in the home, the information is there when you call 911 and your conditions and medications can be conveyed seamlessly to the 911 operators.
The 8-1/2” x 11” full-color write-on/wipe-off memo board with pen and clip, mounts to the household refrigerator door. On the reverse side, there are areas for homeowners to list their vital medical information. An EMS weatherproof decal is also provided that mounts on or near the front door of the residence to alert first responders to the presence of a Vitalboard in the residence. Your Vitalboard can be brought with you to the Emergency Department to quickly provide up-to-date medications and dosages and other patient condition information.
