Our Grants program is dedicated to supporting the UNC Health Lenoir initiatives that drive positive change and innovation. We provide funding to UNC Health Lenoir projects that align with the mission of fostering growth, education, and community impact. Our grants are designed to help bring vision to life. In 2026, the Lenoir Hospital Foundation funded $154,187 in grant projects for UNC Health Lenoir. 

Trophon High-Level Disinfection System

The Trophon High-Level Disinfection System will provide fast, automated high-level disinfection for ultrasound probes, enhancing infection prevention efforts and improving patient safety. 

Community Blood Pressure Monitor

The Community Blood Pressure Monitor will offer free blood pressure checks to community members while promoting early detection of hypertension and heart disease, encouraging preventive care and overall wellness.

Octane Seated Elliptical for Cardiac Rehab

The Octane Seated Elliptical for Cardiac Rehab will expand safe exercise options for cardiac rehabilitation patients and support recovery following cardiac events and procedures. 

ReliOn Glucose Meter Kits

ReliOn Glucose Meter Kits for home use will provide uninsured diabetic patients with essential self-management tools that can improve health outcomes while reducing the risk of complications and hospital readmissions.

Bariatric Evacuation Slides

Bariatric Evacuation Slides will help ensure the safe evacuation of bariatric patients during emergencies such as fires, power outages, and other critical events, protecting both patients and staff during urgent situations.

The Hologic NovaSure RF Controller Model 10

The Hologic NovaSure RF Controller Model 10 will provide minimally invasive treatment for abnormal uterine bleeding, improving women’s health, comfort, and quality of life while reducing the need for more invasive surgical procedures.

The Scout Thermographic Imaging Device

The Scout Thermographic Imaging Device will help detect early-stage injuries before visible symptoms appear, allowing for proactive intervention and prevention of complications. 

Care in Motion Wheelchairs for the Family Birth Center

Care in Motion wheelchairs for the Family Birth Center will provide safe and comfortable patient transport while enhancing dignity, efficiency, and daily clinical operations within the Birth Center.

Funding for Parkinson’s “Rock Steady Boxing” Equipment

Funding for Parkinson’s “Rock Steady Boxing” Equipment will expand therapeutic exercise opportunities for Parkinson’s patients, improving balance, strength, and quality of life. 

Bariatric Recliner with a 700-pound capacity

The Bariatric Recliner with a 700-pound capacity will better accommodate patients who exceed standard weight limits, improving comfort, mobility, recovery, and safety for both patients and caregivers.

Ten New Housekeeping Carts

Ten new Housekeeping Carts will enhance sanitation and infection control practices while improving the efficiency of the environmental services team and supporting a cleaner, safer care environment. 

Cancer Screening Mammograms & Ceiling Art

The Cancer Screening Mammograms & Ceiling Art project will provide free mammograms to underserved populations while also creating a calming and supportive environment through ceiling art designed to reduce patient anxiety during care.

Bariatric Patient Transport Chairs – Staxi Ranger Units

(2) Bariatric Patient Transport Chairs – Staxi Ranger Units will safely transport patients weighing up to 800 pounds, reducing staff strain and risk of injury while enhancing patient dignity, safety, and operational efficiency.
