Schechter Society
The twin legacies of philanthropy and leadership guided our choice when we sought a name for our planned-giving society. It is named The Schechter Society in honor of Sol and Pearl Schechter, longtime benefactors to many causes in Kinston, especially the hospital. Sol served as the chairman of the Lenoir Memorial Hospital Board of trustees and later, chairman of the Lenoir Memorial Hospital Foundation Board. Over a 42-year period, Sol was instrumental in the expansion and operation of the hospital. The Schechter Society is a wonderful way to leave YOUR legacy!
